Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Sliders

  • 12 pieces Hawaiian rolls (Can swap for dinner rolls or slider buns)
  • 2 cups leftover turkey (Shredded or sliced thin)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (Whole berry or jellied)
  • 6 slices cheese (Swiss, Provolone, White Cheddar or Brie) (Choose a creamy cheese that melts well)

For the Savory Butter Topping

  • 1/2 cup butter (Melted)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning (Optional)
  • a pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half, keeping them connected.

Assembly

  1. Layer the cheese on the bottom half of the rolls.
  2. Add the turkey evenly over the cheese.
  3. Spread cranberry sauce over the turkey, then optionally add another layer of cheese.
  4. Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, poppy seeds, and salt.
  6. Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.

Baking

  1. Cover the assembled sliders loosely with foil and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.

Notes

For a lighter version, serve with a green salad or pickles. You can prepare the sliders ahead of time and refrigerate without the butter topping for up to 24 hours before baking.
