Description

A refreshing and crunchy salad combining sweet strawberries and crisp cucumbers, perfect for summer BBQs and picnics.

Ingredients

Salad Base

  • 2 cups Fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced (Choose bright red strawberries for maximum flavor.)
  • 2 cups Cucumbers, sliced or chopped (English or Persian cucumbers are recommended for crispness.)
  • 1/4 cup Thin sliced red onion (Optional; soak in cold water if a milder flavor is desired.)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh mint or basil (Can use both for extra flavor.)
  • 1/2 cup Feta cheese, crumbled (Optional; adds creaminess.)
  • 1 tablespoon Salt (For seasoning.)
  • 1 tablespoon Black pepper (For seasoning.)

Dressing

  • 2 tablespoons Honey lime dressing (Default dressing; very sweet and tangy.)
  • 2 tablespoons Honey balsamic dressing (Alternative option.)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil and citrus dressing (A simple, clean option.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Wash and dry your strawberries and cucumbers.
  2. Slice strawberries into halves or quarters and cucumbers into half moons or bite-sized chunks.
  3. If using red onion, slice it thinly.
  4. In a large bowl, gently toss together the strawberries, cucumbers, red onion, and herbs.
  5. Add dressing just before serving, then taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

Notes

Prep ingredients separately and dress right before serving to maintain crispness. Store dressed salad in the fridge and consume within 24 hours for best quality.
