Description

An easy, warm, gooey dessert with creamy cheesecake pockets and a buttery cake top, perfect for any day.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cans Strawberry pie filling (Enough to cover your baking dish in a nice layer.)
  • 8 oz Cream cheese (One block, cut into small cubes.)
  • 1 box Yellow cake mix (Dry.)
  • 1/2 cup Butter (Melted.)
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries (Optional, for extra flavor.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling into the bottom of your baking dish.
  3. Scatter the cream cheese cubes evenly over the strawberry layer.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top. Do not mix it in.
  5. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix as evenly as possible.
  6. Add optional fresh strawberries on top if desired.

Baking

  1. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
  2. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before serving to thicken.

Notes

For best results, do not stir the layers and ensure even butter coverage over the cake mix to avoid dry patches. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
