Meatballs and Gravy
- 24 oz Frozen meatballs (beef or beef and pork blend) (Use fully cooked, medium-sized meatballs.)
- 2 cups Beef broth (Can be substituted with chicken broth.)
- 1 pkg Brown gravy mix or beef gravy mix (Reliable for busy days.)
- 1 pkg Onion soup mix (For added flavor.)
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (Adds deep, savory flavor.)
- 1 tbsp Ketchup (Balances flavor.)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder (For seasoning.)
- 1 tsp Black pepper (To taste.)
- 1.5 tbsp Cornstarch (For thickening later.)
- 2 tbsp Cold water (To mix with cornstarch for thickening.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Spray the slow cooker insert with nonstick spray or use a liner for easy cleanup.
- In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Add frozen meatballs to the slow cooker.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the meatballs and gently stir to coat.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours or HIGH for 2.5 to 3.5 hours until meatballs are hot and tender.
- About 20 to 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with cold water and add to the slow cooker to thicken the gravy.
Notes
For best flavor, serve over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or steamed rice. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
