- 4 cloves Garlic fresh minced (Jar garlic works, but fresh is best.)
- 2 cups Beef broth or stock (Use low-sodium if preferred.)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust seasoning at the end.)
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper (To taste.)
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder (Or a chopped onion.)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (Optional; add to taste.)
- 1 tablespoon Parsley (Optional; for garnish.)
- 1/2 teaspoon Paprika (Optional; for a flavor twist.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Spray or lightly butter the inside of your slow cooker.
- Add the potatoes to the bottom for even cooking.
- Add the beef on top.
- Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and any herbs you like.
- Melt the butter and stir in garlic, then pour it over everything.
- Add broth around the sides to avoid rinsing off the seasoning.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 3.5 to 4.5 hours until the beef is tender and the potatoes are soft.
- Finish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Potatoes can be added halfway through the cooking time for firmer texture. Keep lid closed during cooking to maintain heat.
