Units Scale

Fruits for Skewers

  • 1 cup strawberries (Deep red, fragrant, without wet spots)
  • 1 cup mandarin segments (Fresh and peeled)
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (Ripe with a sweet smell)
  • 1 cup green grapes (Firm and attached to stems)
  • 1 cup blueberries (Fresh and rinsed)
  • 1 cup purple grapes (Firm and ripe)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Wash all fruits thoroughly under cool water. Rinse berries and grapes in a bowl to remove grit.
  2. Cut larger fruits like strawberries and pineapple into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Lay the fruits out in small piles by color for easy assembling.

Assembly

  1. Begin by skewer a grape or blueberry at one end of the skewer to act as a stopper.
  2. Add large pieces of fruit such as strawberries, pineapple, and mandarin segments in your chosen rainbow order.
  3. Finish with another grape or firm piece at the top.

Notes

Serve with optional yogurt or cream cheese dips. Arrange skewers in a ‘fan’ layout for presentation. Store leftover skewers in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.
