Description

Quick, cute, and fun Halloween snack that combines hot dogs wrapped in flaky crescent dough, perfect for parties and school events.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Hot dogs (beef, turkey, chicken, or plant-based) (Choose standard size for classic look.)
  • 1 package Crescent roll dough (Classic refrigerated crescent dough is easiest.)
  • 1 large Egg (Beaten for optional egg wash to enhance shine.)
  • eye pieces Candy eyes or alternatives (For decorating; options include mustard dots or cheese.)

Dipping Sauces

  • to taste Ketchup (Classic option.)
  • to taste Mustard (Yellow mustard preferred.)
  • to taste BBQ sauce (For a smoky flavor.)
  • to taste Ranch dressing (Popular with kids.)
  • to taste Honey mustard (For a sweeter option.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Open the crescent dough and unroll it on a cutting board. Press seams together if it’s perforated triangles, then slice into thin strips (about 1/4 inch).
  3. Pat your hot dogs dry to help the wraps stick.
  4. Wrap each hot dog with dough strips, leaving a small gap near the top for the face. Place them seam side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Optional: Brush the wrapped hot dogs lightly with beaten egg for a golden finish.

Baking

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until golden and puffy. Add candy eyes once they cool slightly.

Notes

Mummy Hot Dogs can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. For freshness, reheat in the oven or air fryer.
