Description
A simple and reliable method for cooking sweet and tender corn on the cob in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- Fresh corn on the cob (as many ears as you want)
- Water (enough to cover the corn)
- Salt (optional, for the water or after cooking)
- Butter (for serving)
Instructions
- Fill a large pot about two thirds full with water. Bring it to a rolling boil.
- Add the corn. If the ears are not fully submerged, you can rotate them once halfway through.
- Boil for 3 to 6 minutes, depending on freshness.
- Remove the corn with tongs and let it drip dry for a few seconds.
- Serve immediately with butter and salt, or your favorite toppings.
Notes
For best results, use very fresh corn and avoid overcooking. Salt after cooking for peak sweetness.
