Description

A quick and easy recipe for tender salmon fillets glazed with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 fillets Salmon fillets (skin on or skin off) (Choose fillets of similar thickness for even cooking.)
  • 1/4 cup Honey (For sweetness and stickiness.)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce (Can substitute tamari or coconut aminos.)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) (Fresh is best, but jarred works as well.)
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (Can substitute with rice vinegar.)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper (To taste.)
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes (For added heat.)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (Optional for extra shine.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a sheet pan with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels to help the glaze cling.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper. Add red pepper flakes if desired.

Cooking

  1. Place the salmon on the prepared pan. Spoon or brush some glaze over the top.
  2. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes depending on thickness. Halfway through, spoon more glaze on top.
  3. For extra stickiness, broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end, watching closely to prevent burning.
  4. Rest for 2 minutes before serving, spooning the pan juices over the salmon.

Notes

This dish pairs well with rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to avoid drying out.
