Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 4 fillets Salmon fillets (skin on or skin off) (Choose fillets of similar thickness for even cooking.)
- 1/4 cup Honey (For sweetness and stickiness.)
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce (Can substitute tamari or coconut aminos.)
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced) (Fresh is best, but jarred works as well.)
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (Can substitute with rice vinegar.)
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper (To taste.)
- Optional: Red pepper flakes (For added heat.)
- 1 tablespoon Butter (Optional for extra shine.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a sheet pan with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.
- Pat the salmon dry with paper towels to help the glaze cling.
- In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
Cooking
- Place the salmon on the prepared pan. Spoon or brush some glaze over the top.
- Bake for 10 to 14 minutes depending on thickness. Halfway through, spoon more glaze on top.
- For extra stickiness, broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Rest for 2 minutes before serving, spooning the pan juices over the salmon.
Notes
This dish pairs well with rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to avoid drying out.
