- 1 package Pepperoni slices (Quantity can vary)
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (String cheese or shredded both work)
- 1 cup Pizza sauce or marinara (For dipping)
- 1 large Egg (For egg wash, optional but makes them shiny)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or garlic powder (Optional)
- 1 small Black olives or extra pepperoni (Optional for a hat band vibe)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375 F, or the temperature indicated on the crescent roll package.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place a little cheese and pepperoni near the wide end of each triangle, roll it up gently, and shape it into a witch hat point.
Baking
- Place the shaped hats on the baking sheet with some space between each.
- Brush with a little beaten egg for shine, if desired.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until deep golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving, as the cheese will be very hot.
Notes
Keep fillings small to avoid blowouts, pinch seams to seal, and use parchment paper to prevent sticking. Allow them to cool for a couple of minutes to avoid burns.
