Description
A quick and easy recipe for Garlic Butter Baked Salmon that is buttery, garlicky, and full of flavor, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 4 fillets Salmon fillets (Also works with one larger salmon piece.)
- 1/4 cup Butter (Salted or unsalted, both work.)
- 4 cloves Fresh garlic (Minced, fresh tastes better.)
- 1 whole Lemon (Juice plus slices for garnish.)
- to taste Salt and black pepper
- optional Chopped parsley, paprika or red pepper flakes (Optional for garnish and flavor.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan or baking dish with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.
- Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel to help it bake instead of steam.
- Place salmon skin side down on the prepared baking dish, then season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, melt the butter and stir in minced garlic. Let sit for about 30 seconds, then add lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and black pepper.
- Pour or spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top of the salmon. Add lemon slices if desired.
Cooking
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven until it flakes easily with a fork and looks glossy and juicy, about 10-14 minutes.
- Let the salmon rest for 2 minutes after removing from the oven, then spoon the pan sauce over it before serving.
Notes
Pair with creamy sides like baked brussel sprouts or add vegetables to the baking dish for a full meal. Leftovers can be enjoyed on salads or in wraps.
