Description
A cozy and moist dessert packed with apples, perfect for any occasion without being overly sweet.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder (Ensure freshness for best results.)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs (Room temperature helps the mixture blend better.)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled (Use butter for richer flavor.)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk or cream (Can substitute with cream for richer texture.)
- 1 pinch cinnamon (Optional, for added aroma.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan, lining the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a larger bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until slightly lighter in color.
- Whisk in the melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Carefully fold in the chopped apples until they are well coated with batter.
Baking
- Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, allow the cake to cool completely before slicing. It can be served warm, at room temperature, or refrigerated.
