Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite size florets
  • 2 large eggs (Beaten)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (Finely grated works best)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (Plus more to taste)
  • Black pepper (To taste)
  • Cooking spray or a few tablespoons of oil

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Heat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cut the cauliflower into evenly sized florets.
  3. In one bowl, beat the eggs. In another bowl, mix together the panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Coating and Baking

  1. Dip each floret in the egg, letting the excess drip off, then press it into the breadcrumb mixture.
  2. Place coated florets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray or drizzle oil over the tops.
  3. Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway, until deep golden and crisp.

Serving

  1. Taste one and add a pinch of salt if needed. Serve immediately for optimal crunch.

Notes

Dry the cauliflower well and do not crowd the pan for best results. Can be adapted for air fryer or gluten-free by using suitable substitutes.
