- 1 can Refrigerated biscuit dough (Can use regular or buttermilk style.)
- 1/2 cup Butter (Melted, for coating.)
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar (For coating.)
- 1 tbsp Ground cinnamon (Star flavor.)
- 1 pinch Salt (Optional, enhances sweetness.)
Optional Extras
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract (Can add to melted butter.)
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar (Mix with white sugar for extra flavor.)
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg (For a holiday flavor.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Open the biscuit dough and cut each round into 4 pieces using kitchen scissors or a knife.
Baking
- Spread the biscuit pieces on the prepared baking sheet with some space between each piece.
- Bake for about 10 to 14 minutes until puffed and lightly golden.
Coating
- Melt butter in a bowl and mix sugar and cinnamon in another bowl or a zip-top bag.
- Let the baked biscuit bites cool for 2 minutes, then toss them in melted butter and coat in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm for the best texture.
Notes
For extra coating, consider second tossing them in cinnamon sugar after the first coat sets. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
