Description

A quick, no-bake dessert that combines creamy peanut butter, ripe bananas, and chocolate for a sweet treat that’s easy to make and perfect for snacking.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 medium Bananas (Pick ones that are ripe but still firm enough to slice cleanly.)
  • 1/2 cup Peanut butter (Creamy is easiest to spread, but crunchy works too.)
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips or a chopped chocolate bar (Either will work for dipping or drizzling.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Slice bananas into coins, about a half inch thick. Lay them on a plate or small tray lined with parchment paper.
  2. Freeze until firm, around 30 to 60 minutes.

Assembly

  1. Put a small dab of peanut butter on one banana slice, then top with another slice to form a sandwich. Use a thin layer of peanut butter.
  2. Melt the chocolate in short bursts in the microwave, stirring in between to prevent burning.
  3. Dip each banana sandwich halfway into the melted chocolate or drizzle chocolate over the top.

Freezing

  1. Place the bites back in the freezer until the chocolate is hardened, about 20 to 30 minutes.
  2. Once set, store them in a container or zip-top bag.

Notes

These treats are best enjoyed within 2 to 3 weeks. Allow them to sit at room temp for a couple of minutes before eating for optimal texture.
