Description
A quick, no-bake dessert that combines creamy peanut butter, ripe bananas, and chocolate for a sweet treat that’s easy to make and perfect for snacking.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 medium Bananas (Pick ones that are ripe but still firm enough to slice cleanly.)
- 1/2 cup Peanut butter (Creamy is easiest to spread, but crunchy works too.)
- 1 cup Chocolate chips or a chopped chocolate bar (Either will work for dipping or drizzling.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Slice bananas into coins, about a half inch thick. Lay them on a plate or small tray lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze until firm, around 30 to 60 minutes.
Assembly
- Put a small dab of peanut butter on one banana slice, then top with another slice to form a sandwich. Use a thin layer of peanut butter.
- Melt the chocolate in short bursts in the microwave, stirring in between to prevent burning.
- Dip each banana sandwich halfway into the melted chocolate or drizzle chocolate over the top.
Freezing
- Place the bites back in the freezer until the chocolate is hardened, about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Once set, store them in a container or zip-top bag.
Notes
These treats are best enjoyed within 2 to 3 weeks. Allow them to sit at room temp for a couple of minutes before eating for optimal texture.
