Description

Indulge in rich, gooey brownies with a fudgy center, fresh strawberries, and a glossy chocolate topping for a delightful dessert.


Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • 1 cup Butter (Makes the brownies rich and bakery style)
  • 1 cup Sugar (Regular white sugar works great)
  • 2 large Eggs (For structure and that chewy bite)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (Small thing, big difference)
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder (Unsweetened)
  • 1 cup All purpose flour (Just enough to hold it together)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt (Do not skip it, it wakes up the chocolate)
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (For extra melt and richness)
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries (Diced and dried well)

Topping

  • 1 cup Chocolate (Melted for that chocolate covered finish)


Instructions

Preparation

  1. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and let it cool for a minute.

Mixing Wet Ingredients

  1. Stir butter and sugar together until combined.
  2. Whisk in eggs and vanilla until glossy.

Add Dry Ingredients

  1. Fold in cocoa, flour, and salt just until combined; do not overmix.

Add Chocolate and Strawberries

  1. Stir in chocolate chips and then gently fold in diced strawberries that have been patted dry.

Baking

  1. Bake until the edges look set but the center is still soft.
  2. Cool completely, then spread melted chocolate over the top and let it set before slicing.

Notes

For clean slices, chill brownies for 30 minutes after cooling. Use a sharp knife for slicing and wipe it between cuts for neat edges.
