Description

Banana snowmen are a fun and festive snack that can be made in just 15 minutes using simple ingredients like bananas and strawberries. Perfect for holiday gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale

Basic Ingredients

  • 3 pieces bananas (For the snowman bodies, choose firm bananas.)
  • 3 pieces strawberries (For hats, medium to large berries work best.)
  • optional grapes or marshmallows (For extra body sections.)
  • mini pieces chocolate chips or melted chocolate (For eyes and buttons; use as needed.)
  • 1 piece orange bell pepper or mandarin slice (For noses.)
  • optional pretzel sticks (For arms.)
  • as needed lemon or pineapple juice (To prevent browning of bananas.)

Tools and Equipment

  • 2 pieces wooden skewers or sturdy snack picks (For assembling the snowmen.)
  • 1 piece cutting board (For slicing ingredients.)
  • 1 piece butter knife (For spreading chocolate, if desired.)
  • 1 piece small spoon (For serving or decorating.)
  • 1 piece paper towel (For cleaning sticky fingers.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Slice the bananas into half-inch thick coins.
  2. Cut the green tops off the strawberries and slice them in half to form hats.

Assembly

  1. Slide one banana slice onto the skewer for the base.
  2. Add a second banana slice for the middle.
  3. Add a third banana slice for the head, slightly smaller if possible.
  4. Press on chocolate chips for eyes and buttons, and add a nose.
  5. Finish by placing the strawberry hat on top.

Notes

Keep bananas firm and assemble close to serving time for the best appearance. Use a light touch of lemon or pineapple juice to prevent browning and store in the fridge until served.
