Instructions
Preparation
- Set up three bowls: Bowl 1 with flour, salt, and a little cinnamon; Bowl 2 with well-beaten eggs; Bowl 3 with panko mixed with sugar and cinnamon.
- Slice apples into fry shapes, about the thickness of regular French fries.
- Pat the apple slices dry with a paper towel.
- Dip each apple fry into flour, then egg, then the cinnamon panko mix, pressing crumbs lightly to stick.
- Spray the air fryer basket lightly and add coated apple fries in a single layer without crowding.
- Lightly spray the tops of the fries with cooking spray.
Cooking
- Cook in the air fryer at 380°F for about 7 to 9 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check for golden color and crispness; thicker fries may need closer to 10 minutes.
Notes
For best results, dry apples thoroughly and avoid overcrowding the air fryer. Serve fresh but store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
