Description

A festive and creamy cheesecake with a soft sugar cookie crust, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

For the crust

  • 1 package sugar cookie dough (tube or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon flour (helps prevent sticking)

For the cheesecake filling

  • 3 blocks cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 pieces eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (adds creaminess)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Extras (optional)

  • to taste sprinkles (for decoration)
  • to taste whipped cream (for topping)
  • to taste white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Press the sugar cookie dough into the bottom of a springform pan, creating a crust wall about an inch high.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes to set the shape.
  4. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Mix in eggs one at a time, followed by sour cream and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the cheesecake filling over the baked crust.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until the edges are set but the middle jiggles slightly.
  8. Chill the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.

Notes

To prevent sticking, chill the dough before pressing it into the pan. Use a water bath for even baking and to prevent cracks.
