Description

A creamy, savory chicken dish that is unfussy and comforting, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Core Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless and skinless chicken breasts (Use similar-sized breasts for even cooking.)
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise or Greek yogurt (Mayo locks in moisture; Greek yogurt gives a tangy flavor.)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (Real grated Parmesan is preferred.)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder (Adds savory flavor.)
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (Season to taste.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper (Season to taste.)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika (For color.)
  • 1 slice Lemon (Optional squeeze for brightness.)

Optional Add-Ins for Extra Flavor

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (For added zest.)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (For an Italian twist.)
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella (For cheesiness.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed red pepper (For a mild kick.)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh herbs (parsley or chives) (For garnish.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika (For a smoky flavor.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken dry, then season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise or Greek yogurt with Parmesan, onion powder, and paprika.
  4. Spread the mayo mixture evenly over the top of the chicken, avoiding coating the bottom.

Cooking

  1. Bake uncovered for 22 to 28 minutes until the top is lightly golden and the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) inside.
  2. Rest the chicken for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use a light-colored baking dish and avoid overcrowding. You can customize flavors with various optional ingredients and cooking methods, including air frying and slow cooking.
