Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp butter, plus extra to butter the pan (Use some for greasing the pan.)
  • 15 oz mini marshmallows, (1.5 bags) (Coat marshmallows with melted butter.)
  • 6 c Lucky Charms Cereal (Provides texture and flavor.)
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips (For dipping the bars.)
  • 4 drops green food coloring (Gives the bars a fun color.)

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Butter the bottom of a 9×13 pan with a paper towel.
  2. Melt 4 Tbsp butter in a large microwave safe bowl.
  3. Pour marshmallows over the butter; mix to coat the marshmallows.
  4. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then heat for another 30 seconds until completely melted.
  5. Pour cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture gradually and mix well.
  6. Press the mixture into the greased 9×13 pan using wet hands for even spreading.
  7. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Dipping

  1. Cut treats into 20-24 squares and place them upside down on wax paper.
  2. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave for 45 seconds, stir, then melt for another 45 seconds if needed.
  3. Add the green food coloring to the melted chocolate and stir to combine.
  4. Dip the bottom of each treat into the green chocolate and place upside down on wax paper to cool.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For softer bars, leave them at room temperature for a day, but consume them sooner to prevent loss of snap. They can be frozen for up to a month. If your chocolate seizes, add a tiny bit of oil and stir to help.
