Ingredients
For the Marinade
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (Use to enhance flavor and moisture.)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (Freshly squeezed preferred.)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (Provides aromatic flavor.)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (Adds saltiness and depth.)
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper (For seasoning.)
For the Kabobs
- 1 pound sirloin steak (Cut into bite-sized cubes.)
- 1 medium onion (Cut into chunks.)
- 1 medium bell pepper (Cut into chunks.)
- 4 pieces skewers (Use metal skewers or soak wooden skewers in water.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, soy sauce, and ground black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the steak cubes to the marinade and let it soak for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
- Prepare the vegetables by cutting them into chunks.
Cooking
- Thread the marinated steak, onions, and bell peppers onto skewers.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the kabobs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
Serving
- Serve hot off the grill with warm pita or crusty bread, and a simple green salad.
Notes
Cool the kabobs quickly and store in an airtight container if you have leftovers. They can be stored in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. Use within 2 months for freezing. Rest briefly after grilling to keep juices intact.
