Ingredients
Marinade
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Chicken
- 1 pound chicken breast or thighs, cut into pieces
Skewers
- wooden or metal skewers (Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes before use.)
Instructions
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Cut chicken into pieces and add to the marinade, making sure to coat it well.
- Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
Cooking
- Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
- Grill the skewers for approximately 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, or bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Cool leftovers and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave. You can also chop cold chicken for salads or fried rice. If using wooden skewers, soak them before grilling to prevent burning.
