Description

These delightful Ham and Cheese Sliders are easy to prepare and perfect for gatherings, featuring layers of ham and Swiss cheese baked with a buttery glaze.

Ingredients

Slider Ingredients

  • 12 pieces slider buns
  • 12 slices ham (Thinly sliced)
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese (Can be substituted with provolone or cheddar)

Butter Mixture

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (Optional, can be substituted with sesame seeds)
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, salt, and pepper.
  3. Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.

Assembly and Baking

  1. Layer the sliced ham and Swiss cheese over the bottom buns.
  2. Place the top halves of the buns on, and pour the butter mixture evenly over the tops.
  3. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the tops are golden.
  5. Serve warm as appetizers.

Notes

Brush the butter mix slowly so it pools into seams. Covering with foil softens the bread, while the last ten minutes crisp the top. For leftovers, wrap tightly and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F for 10 minutes.
