Quick and flavorful Garlic Parmesan Roasted Shrimp is an easy dinner option that feels fancy but cooks in minutes, perfect for busy nights.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Large or extra-large shrimp, peeled and deveined (Tail on or off)
- 3 cloves Fresh garlic, finely minced (For bold flavor)
- 1/4 cup Unsalted butter, melted (For richness)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil (To help the shrimp roast instead of steam)
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese (The kind that’s powdery and melts evenly)
- 1 tbsp Lemon zest (For brightness)
- 2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice (To sprinkle on after roasting)
- 1/4 cup Parsley or basil, chopped (For freshness)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes (Optional heat)
- 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs (Optional for extra crisp)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment for easy cleanup.
- Start with clean shrimp. If they are not already peeled and deveined, do so now.
- Pat the shrimp completely dry to avoid steaming.
- Season shrimp lightly with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.
Mix the Garlic Parmesan Butter
- In a bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, grated Parmesan, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Roast and Finish
- Spread the shrimp on the prepared pan in a single layer. Spoon the garlic Parmesan mixture over them and toss gently to coat.
- Roast shrimp for 6 to 8 minutes until pink and curled in a C shape. For extra color, broil for 1 minute at the end.
- Remove from oven, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, and sprinkle with parsley.
Notes
Make sure shrimp are patted dry for best results. Don’t overcrowd the pan for even cooking. This dish can be paired with garlic butter noodles, lemony rice, or a simple salad.
