Instructions
Preparation
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Place one slice of bread in the skillet, garlic side down, and layer with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Top with the second slice of bread, garlic side up.
- Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
Serving
- Serve hot with a side of tomato soup, salad, or pickles.
Notes
Make ahead by preparing the garlic butter in advance. Store in the fridge for a few days. Use day-old bread for a crispier crust and feel free to add variations like sliced tomatoes or bacon.
