Description

A fast, cozy pasta dish that combines cheesy goodness with garlic for a comforting meal ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Pasta and Garlic Sauce Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti (Use any pasta shape you have.)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced (Mince finely for even cooking.)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (Use good quality Parmesan for best flavor.)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (Shredding your own mozzarella gives better results.)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (Provides richness to the sauce.)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (Used for sautéing garlic.)
  • to taste Salt and pepper (Adjust based on preference.)
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped (Adds freshness to the dish.)

Instructions

Cooking the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain, reserving about ½ cup of pasta water.

Preparing the Sauce

  1. In a large skillet, heat unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and golden brown.
  2. Lower the heat, then add the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheeses melt and combine into a creamy sauce.
  3. Add the reserved pasta water gradually, stirring to adjust the sauce’s consistency to your liking.

Combining and Serving

  1. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the cheesy garlic sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Plate the pasta and garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of water or milk.
