- 1 cup red velvet cake mix (This provides the color and flavor.)
- 1 cup candy melts or white chocolate (Use a coating that melts smoothly.)
- 1 tablespoon oil (Add if the coating gets too thick.)
- optional to taste powdered sugar (For added sweetness, if desired.)
- extra as needed red candy melts (Drizzle over popcorn for a blood effect.)

Preparation
- Pop your popcorn according to package instructions and pour it into a large bowl.
- Pick out any un-popped kernels.
- Melt the candy coating in a microwave, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
- Pour the melted coating over the popcorn and quickly sprinkle the red velvet cake mix on top, stirring to combine.
- If desired, drizzle extra melted red candy over the top for added color.
- Spread the mixture onto a tray lined with parchment paper and allow it to cool completely.
- Once cooled, break the popcorn into pieces and serve.
