Ingredients
For the Burger Bowl
- 1 lb Ground beef, lean (Use lean beef for a lighter dish.)
- 1 cup Cherry tomatoes (Halve for easier eating.)
- 1 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1 small Red onion (Diced small for a gentle bite.)
- 1 head Romaine or iceberg lettuce (Use as the base of the bowl.)
- 1 tbsp Dill pickle relish
- 1 cup Dill pickles (Add for extra crunch.)
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise, light (Use light mayo for fewer calories.)
- 2 tbsp Mustard, yellow
- 1 tsp White vinegar or pickle juice
- 1 tsp Kosher salt (Adjust according to taste.)
- 3/4 cup Cheddar, sharp, shredded (Sprinkle on top before serving.)
Instructions
Cooking the Beef
- In a skillet, cook the lean ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Season the beef with onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Building the Bowl
- In a large bowl, layer the chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce as the base.
- Top the lettuce with cooked ground beef.
- Add cherry tomatoes, diced red onion, dill pickles, and dill pickle relish on top.
- In a small bowl, mix ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, white vinegar, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Drizzle the sauce over the burger bowl.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
To store leftovers, let the cooked beef cool, then place in an airtight container. Sauce and cheese should be stored separately to maintain freshness.
