- 1 tablespoon Olive oil (For greasing the baking dish)
Lemon Butter Sauce
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter (Melt gently.)
- 1-3 cloves Garlic (Minced, depending on your preference.)
- 1 large Fresh lemon (Use for zest and juice.)
- 1 tablespoon Optional: chopped parsley or dill (For serving.)
- 1 pinch Red pepper flakes (Optional for extra spice.)

Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (390°F if your oven runs hot).
- Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil or line with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Place the salmon on the prepared pan.
Making the Sauce
- Melt the butter in a pan over low heat. Stir in the minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
- Add lemon zest and lemon juice, then taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Baking the Salmon
- Spoon some lemon butter sauce over the salmon, reserving some for serving.
