Description

A simple and effective drink made with chia, flax, and psyllium seeds to help control appetite and boost gut health.


Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (Can substitute with flax seeds for a nuttier flavor)
  • 1-2 teaspoons psyllium husk (Optional, but increases fiber content)
  • 10 ounces cold water (You can use unsweetened coconut water as a substitute)
  • to taste lemon juice or honey (For added flavor)


Instructions

Preparation

  1. Pour the tablespoon of chia seeds into a mason jar or tall glass.
  2. Add the psyllium husk if using.
  3. Fill with the chosen liquid and start stirring immediately to prevent clumping.
  4. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes is ideal) for it to thicken.
  5. Stir again to distribute the mixture before consumption.

Consumption

  1. Drink it slowly, rather than in one gulp.

Notes

Always drink the seed mix with a full glass of water. Start with a smaller amount of seeds if you’re a beginner to avoid discomfort.
