Description

A creamy, bold-flavored crab dip that can be served hot or cold, making it a perfect choice for parties or weeknight snacks.


Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup jumbo lump crab meat
  • 4 oz cream cheese (Let sit out to soften)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded (Or substitute with Monterey Jack for less heat)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons horseradish (Adjust according to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons French dressing (Extra can be added for more zip)


Instructions

Preparation

  1. Let all ingredients come to room temperature.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, mayonnaise, horseradish, and French dressing until well combined.

Cooking or Chilling

  1. For a hot dip, preheat oven to 350°F, transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish, and bake for 20-30 minutes until bubbling and golden.
  2. For a cold dip, refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours before serving.

Serving

  1. Serve with toasted baguette slices, crostinis, crackers, or veggies.
  2. If served cold, let it sit for 10 minutes out of the fridge before serving.
  3. Add a lemon wedge on the side for brightness.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or microwave in short bursts, stirring in between.
