Description

A crispy and crunchy air fryer snack that’s sweet, spicy, and versatile. Perfect for movie nights or as a side dish.

Ingredients

For the Cauliflower

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-size florets (Make sure it’s dry.)
  • 1 cup all purpose flour (Or see variations below.)
  • 1 cup milk (Dairy or unsweetened plant milk.)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (Plus more to finish.)
  • 1-2 cups panko breadcrumbs (For extra crunch.)
  • Cooking spray or a light brush of oil

For the Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1-2 teaspoons sriracha (Add more if you like heat.)
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the cauliflower dry to prevent gummy coating.
  3. Whisk together flour, milk, garlic powder, paprika, and salt in a bowl to make a batter.

Coating

  1. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, shaking off excess, then roll in panko breadcrumbs.
  2. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray.
  3. Place coated florets in a single layer in the basket and spray the tops lightly.

Cooking

  1. Air fry for about 10 minutes, flip the florets, and then air fry for another 6 to 10 minutes until golden.

Making Bang Bang Sauce

  1. In a bowl, stir together mayo, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and rice vinegar or lime juice.

Serving

  1. Drizzle sauce over the cauliflower or toss gently to coat.

Notes

For maximum crunch, serve sauce on the side for dipping.
