A crispy and crunchy air fryer snack that’s sweet, spicy, and versatile. Perfect for movie nights or as a side dish.
Ingredients
For the Cauliflower
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-size florets (Make sure it’s dry.)
- 1 cup all purpose flour (Or see variations below.)
- 1 cup milk (Dairy or unsweetened plant milk.)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (Plus more to finish.)
- 1-2 cups panko breadcrumbs (For extra crunch.)
- Cooking spray or a light brush of oil
For the Bang Bang Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1-2 teaspoons sriracha (Add more if you like heat.)
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F for about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Pat the cauliflower dry to prevent gummy coating.
- Whisk together flour, milk, garlic powder, paprika, and salt in a bowl to make a batter.
Coating
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, shaking off excess, then roll in panko breadcrumbs.
- Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray.
- Place coated florets in a single layer in the basket and spray the tops lightly.
Cooking
- Air fry for about 10 minutes, flip the florets, and then air fry for another 6 to 10 minutes until golden.
Making Bang Bang Sauce
- In a bowl, stir together mayo, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and rice vinegar or lime juice.
Serving
- Drizzle sauce over the cauliflower or toss gently to coat.
Notes
For maximum crunch, serve sauce on the side for dipping.
