- 8 pieces Spring onions
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Olive oil (Add more oil for deeper browning, if desired.)
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Trim the roots of the spring onions and remove any wilted outer layers.
- Place the spring onions on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with salt and black pepper, then toss to coat evenly.
Cooking
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until tender and slightly caramelized.
- Check at 12 minutes if the onions are small and thin; otherwise, give them the full 20 minutes.
Serving
- Serve warm as a side dish or topping for salads, or on crusty bread with soft cheese.
- Slice into bite-sized pieces or leave whole for a rustic presentation.
Notes
Cool leftovers first and store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 7-10 minutes for best texture.
